Located just a few miles from downtown Columbia, Amsa Yoga & Mindfulness Practice Center is your neighborhood yoga studio! With our warm, welcoming, peaceful vibe and guidance from our excellent teachers, we strive to nurture all levels of practitioners and to encourage you to deepen your yoga practice on and off the mat.
Our mindfulness-based approach to Yoga is non-dogmatic, supportive, and inclusive. We believe that peace comes from within, and not from external sources. We are dedicated to offering quality Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Mindfulness Meditation practices all designed to help you cultivate inner awareness and a deeper sense of presence, health and well-being. Our instructors teach with compassion, authenticity, and acceptance and are here to support you in your yoga practice.
Mindfulness is paying attention here and now with kindness and curiosity and Vinyasa Yoga is the balance of body, mind and breath. This system combines poses with the breath to bring stillness to the mind, strength and health to the body and an overall sense of being centered. A true moving meditation! All bodies regardless of strength, shape, size, or age can do Yoga and reap the benefits including: better posture, more overall comfort in the body, more flexibility, more strength, better breathing, better concentration, less stress, and a deeper sense of peace.
